Heather Cole
MSW Practicum Student
Hi, I’m Heather. I am completing my advanced MSW practicum here at Mama Care Health, where I look forward to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s transitions and the emotional demands of parenthood. I am passionate about creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can express your experiences and feel acknowledged and cared for. My approach draws from evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, Emotion Regulation strategies, and Solution-Focused practices, to offer practical support that meets you where you are.
As a mother of two, I am familiar with the shifting rhythms and complexities of family life, which inform the sensitivity and presence I bring to sessions. I look forward to connecting with you and offering steady, compassionate support as you find your footing through the challenges you’re facing.
Why Work with Me?
I bring over 21 years of experience supporting individuals through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, emotional dysregulation, and relationship stress. I am passionate about creating a safe, compassionate space where you can process, reflect, and grow at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel supported, confident, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s emotional demands.
My Approach
I take a client-centred, collaborative approach, tailoring support to your unique needs and experiences. My approach is centred on listening and offering support as you navigate the emotions and demands that come with parenthood and daily life. I provide a space where you can feel heard and validated while exploring what helps you feel more regulated, supported, and grounded.
